Columbia Journalism Review by Joel Simon, Executive Director, Committee to Protect Journalists, April 9, 2020
Last Thursday, taking advantage of a world overwhelmed by the COVID19 pandemic, the high court in Pakistan’s Sindh province ordered the release of four men convicted of participating in the 2002 murder and kidnapping of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.
